POWER RANGERS!!!!

Maybe it has nothing to do with the power rangers but it should be in the soundtrack.
Do they still make that show?
If not, then it should be in the opening credits to whatever show kids watch now.

whooty2 responds:

haha, I haven't seen them on TV lately, but thanks :D

You don't need to be told how to make a heavy sounding beat. You did a great job with that here.
What you need to learn is how to make the arrangement bring out the beats and make the music feel heavy. Comes with practice. Play with the mixer, effects, and the arrangements and you'll be kicking all sorts of asses in no time.

Bazezone responds:

okey,Thank u! :)

It's ok

The music is actually really good. The clean guitar sound is very nice, the arrangement is very effective... There are only 3 problems with it. 1 - The distorted "guitar" sounds horrible. 2 - The ending feels stiff and rushed. 3 - Melancholic Depression, that name, it's got a slight case of redundant redundancy, doesn't it?
Admirable effort. You did some of the best work I've ever seen with synthesized guitars.

FarCryDX responds:

The sad part is.. it's not synthetic *cries* My equipment has a mind of it's own and "chooses" when it wants to sound good.. this wasn't one of those times. :( plus my EQ's probably made it worse. Eh. Still, the acoustic guitar was orgasmic to me.

Wow

There's something in the higher register there that fucks me up. I'm literally seeing music. I don't know what you did to pull that off, but it's great, whatever it is. Fived. (A shame it's not finished, though)

InuFF responds:

Thank you!

"(A shame it's not finished, though)" What does that mean? This is finished. :O

Yes, it's generic

Not only is it generic, it's also a genre I dislike with a passion.
But I'm a fair guy.
It's wonderfully executed. You deserve a high score for that alone. I don't let tastes impair my judgement. You definitely know what you're doing. I shouldn't even be reviewing this because there's nothing to criticize. I'm only writing because I don't know anybody who doesn't like feedback. Now I'll just vote and get on my way. Good work.

Anima-Theory responds:

Thanks man :D

Great

This is great. That silence around the 3:00 minute mark was shocking. Great way to catch somebody's attention, though, that was pure genius. Great work.

Unless everybody around here is hopelessly sad and lonely, you're winning the battle.
(Nitpicks: The handclaps and snares sound a little off. Don't kill me.)

CaliberTheButcher responds:

lol yeah they might sound a lil off cuz that was my intention. i added an odd reverb to it that made it sound like that. lmao i loved it. thanks for the review holla@chaboi

Very good

What synth did you use in the beginning? That filter sounds great. I like what you did with it. Love the snares and the sound effects that go with it. Pretty good futuristic feel to it all. Good work.

Twistedtechnology responds:

the opening synth would be the poizone. actually i believe most of the synth work in here is poizone. perhaps a ToxicIII somewhere, but the main synth is indeed the poizone plugin.

Glad you liked the filter work, it was mostly experimental for me XD its good to know that the experimentation paid off again XD

thanks for the kind review XD

Good job

It's sappy but accomplished. It belongs in a movie. Sounds organic, that's an achievement already. If you were born a few years earlier, you'd have gotten a steady job composing soundtracks. Nowadays, soundtracks are not this conventional, so you're left making music for NG. Some animator better pick this up, though. It would be a waste if it were to get lost in the audio portal.

ErrorCell responds:

This is actually a real scrapped production-music for a 10 minute animation which I was working on about 3 months ago. I worked on the piece for a while, tried to get it to match with the animation, but didn't like how it went.

I just gave up and scrapped it.

3 months later, I decided I couldn't just let it rot in my computer so I decided to take it out and redo parts of it.

The animation btw, was judged for a film festa. It never made it to the silver screen. So I scrapped the animation. And making a new one. :)

Respect

I don't know why there are so many around here making their music sound like old videogame music. You've got all the equipment to make modern music. But those videogame enthusiasts are usually the most accomplished musicians around here. Very good arrangement. Lots of great ideas out there.
Unless you ripped it off of an actual videogame, in which case, kudos to the original composer. And thank you for introducing me to their music.

TehSeph responds:

It's cause I create the music by ear.

Good

It sounds apropriately dark. Love all the sounds you embelished your arrangement with. I'm using cheap speakers so I can't really hear if there's bass but it seems to me like the bass and the main lead are the same. It would benefit from a simple bass line that accents beats so the music is felt rather than heard. If there already is one, ignore me.
The handclaps sound a little off. Maybe you should work on integrating them into the mix.
Otherwise it's going pretty well.

BlizzardTears responds:

There is a totally different baseline than the main melody.
It's maybe not heard by you, because you lack bass.

For the claps, you're right with that one. I fixed that already ; )

Thx for the review.
